Carolina Otero is an Art Director and Graphic Designer working between Madrid and London. After graduating in Advertising and Public Relations from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, she moved to London to continue her studies in Editorial Design at the London College of Communication.
She began her career at seminal London titles Pop and The Face, later moving to Spain to serve as Lead Designer for Ivory Press’s C Photo magazine under the creative direction of Oscar Mariné. She subsequently returned to London to art direct campaigns for global luxury clients.
In 2015, Carolina joined forces with Valerie Wickes and Maxine Leonard to launch Beauty Papers. During her eight-issue tenure as Art Director, the D&AD-recognized magazine became a cult publication and is widely regarded as one of today's most influential beauty titles. Since 2024, Carolina has been working independently as an art director and creative consultant between Madrid and London.
